The JONIC HOTEL is situated in Portopalo di Capo Passero, a small town seated at the water's edge of the Ionio and Mediterranean sea, in the southern part of ltaly. In front of it the suggestive and savage isle of Capo Passero can be seen. Portopalo, a small and simple fishing village of ancient tradition, has beautiful and incontaminate cliffs and golden sands, where recent archaeological founds can be admired, evidence of the old history of this lands. There's a small very well equipped harbour, where, every day, when the fishing boats return, a suggestive fishes auction sale can be seen; on this harbour it is possible to moor small tourist boats. The particular climatic condition, sunny and mild, will give the joy to dive in a sea as clear and transparent as crystal and to run along the numerous beaches gilded by the sun; furthermore, the sounding-depths, rich of fauna and flora, are a recall for those who love under-water fishing. With easy excursions it is possible to visit the isle of "Capo Passero" as well as the "lsle delle Correnti" and the isle of "Vendicari" in front of which a beatiful and desert island stretches and behind it Vendicari's natural reserve can be seen and then we can mention "San Lorenzo" beautiful beaches, "Santa Maria del Focallo" and others to be descovered along our endless coasts.
